Fantasia Glass

This course runs over two days, normally consecutive Sundays.

We will cover a number of techniques and there will be an opportunity to make a final project piece.

Techniques covered are:

• Tack fuse
• Full fuse
• Colour on colour
• Relief with fibre paper
• Frits, confetti, stringers
• Inclusions e.g. metals, organic
• Slumping with ceramic moulds

Come and make a number of pendants, and earrings using some different fused glass techniques, including cathedral and opaque glass, dichroic glass, metals and gold essence.

A weekend course for those with little regular time.

Learn the technique to make traditional leaded windows or door panels. You will learn how to draw up a design, select glass, cut glass, lead the glass, solder, cement and finally polish the panel, which is then yours to keep.

 A new and innovative way of using frit as a fusing material. Check out Richard Lalondes work on google. Great for pictorial work. A fun and absorbing day!

Cost: £85.00 (£ 45 deposit, £ 40 balance on day.)

The traditional Tiffany technique. Course 1 deals with flat projects. All materials are included. This Technique can easily be continued at home. You will make a lightcatcher. No experience or artistic ability necessary!

Cost: £40.00 (£20 deposit, £20 balance on day.)

The next stage, using this technique to make three dimensional work. All materials included.
